Richard brings over 50 years of experience and sharp business sense to his work, holding a BS in marketing and an MBA in Finance.
With his experience and passion in the for-profit world, he served as CFO for the PR agency PS Enterprises in the 1980s and 1990s, which created the first curbside recycling program in Los Angeles. He served as

With his experience and passion in the for-profit world, he served as CFO for the PR agency PS Enterprises in the 1980s and 1990s, which created the first curbside recycling program in Los Angeles. He served as COO of TreePeople, working on stormwater issues, tree planting, and Green Building, managing a $6,000,000 Capital Campaign, and overseeing the architecture of the second LEED Platinum building (Community Center) and the first 250,000-gallon cistern in Los Angeles. Richard honed his skills as a COO/CFO at Global Green USA, a national nonprofit and part of the international Green Cross organization, founded by President Gorbachev in 1993. He worked on rebuilding New Orleans after Katrina devastated the area and built five low-income homes and one community center. Richard worked extensively with its international partners in Geneva to ensure the continued success of its Weapons of Mass Destruction program, whose mission was to eliminate biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons.
CFO at the non-profit Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator, managed the accounting department and developed the annual budget, including overseeing 14 government grants. He also served as COO at Kiss the Ground and Heal the Bay. Has over 17 years of experience on the Boards of Amazon Watch (Treasurer/Chair), Heart of Yoga (promoting peace in the Middle East through yoga), and Social & Environmental Entrepreneurs (Treasurer), a fiscal sponsor organization with 300 projects and a $100 million budget.
